I'D RATHER BE SURFING

 

When I see the sun is shining ; I can tell you this is going to be my day ; I grab all that I need out the door ; Hey I'm on my way ; You can go and swim I don't care ; You can act like a fish if you dare ; Cause I've got a different dream ; I've got a different wish.

I'd rather be surfing ; Just my board and me ; Hanging ten in the waves is where I want to be ; There's nothing like the feel of an ocean breeze ; Or a title wave that will rattle your knees ; I live for the thrill of a perfect run ; I'd rather be surfing ; Look out here I come.

I'll just float a while as I'm waiting for the roller to come ; I let the little ones pass ; You know I'm waiting for that special one ; That will carry me away don't you see ; Just the waves my board and me ; It's about as close to heaven as a surfer can be.
